Jamais vu, contrary to Déjà vu is an experience someone has with something they know well, yet feels unfamiliar. When I was young I remember saying a word in excess, until the word began to lose meaning and became a foreign sound. As I turned the camera onto myself I began to have a similar experience where my body seemed distant. In this series I explore the idea of bodies as vessels and the disconnects that we often feel from them.
